Ahh…the good old claw hammer. Such a wonderfully ubiquitous construction tool. Especially if you’re just putting up a picture on the wall. Or doing a quick repair on something, or just venting your frustration… But seriously…if the job is more involved, and you’ll be hammering away until you’ve got a headache…you’ll really want to get a nail gun, or nailer. In real life, a real man wouldn’t have given in like that. But the wimpy emasculated feminist puppet Tim Allen character did. Somehow, the scriptwriters of the show were insinuating that men need to obey every wish of their woman, even if it means getting a vasectomy against their wishes!!!!! So in other words, a man’s sexual organs are owned by his woman too! I can’t believe that this episode didn’t cause an outrage. If there were a Men’s Rights Movement, I’m sure it would have though.
Painting a wall, ceiling or entire room is a terrific, inexpensive project for any homeowner, beginner or otherwise. The items required for a paint project are budget-friendly, and if you don’t like the end result, just paint over it with a new color!
First, determine how many knobs or pulls you will need. I usually purchase 1 or 2 extra in case I need to replace on in the future (that way, I don’t have to re-do all of the cabinets or drawers). Second, remove any existing hardware. Make sure that the area is clean and dry before you start working. Determine where you want to position the hardware and use a tape measure or template tool to lightly mark the location with a pencil. Use a drill to make the holes, position the new knob or pull, then screw into place. Be careful to complete the project firmly, but not so tight that the wood splits or cracks!
A new roof is a pretty big investment, so you want it to last as long as possible! At Aspen Home Improvements , we offer Scotchgard Protector on every roof we install to help keep your roof looking new and in great condition for longer. Scotchgard Protector helps to prevent against algae growth (which causes those terrible dark streaks on shingles) and works on any roof.
Speaking of being attractive, the style of a kitchen sink not only includes how many basins it has, but it also includes the color. While most kitchen sinks come in a stainless steel color, there are other kitchen sink colors. Other popular colors include white, granite, biscuit, and almond. In all honesty, the color of a new kitchen sink may be more important to you than whether it has one or two basins. If you are also remodeling other parts of your kitchen, like the floors or your countertops, it may be a good idea to make sure that your new kitchen sink compliments your other repairs or at least matches them.
I’ve been too busy and unmotivated to do anything major at the fortress, but I have been smaller projects here and there, like painting, which takes only slightly more effort than laundry, when done correctly. After choosing where to start, simply pour some of the kitty litter onto the oil spot.
